The Imperial Riding School hotel, named for its origins as a 19th-century military equestrian school for Emperor Franz Joseph I, is a 342-key upscale hotel located in central Vienna, Austria adjacent to the embassy district and in close proximity to the Belvedere Palace.
Northwood acquired the hotel after it closed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and completed a comprehensive refurbishment of the hotel in early 2024. The repositioning included a rebranding to Marriott’s lifestyle Autograph Collection brand. The hotel features the Elstar Restaurant, the Farrier Bar, an indoor swimming pool, a wellness center, a 24-hour gym, and 10 meeting and event rooms.
