Shiva Viswanathan

Shiva Viswanathan serves as the Co-Head of Acquisitions for the U.S., with responsibility for leading the team’s U.S. investment efforts. In this role Mr. Viswanathan leads the team to develop conviction for target markets and sectors, define and pursue sourcing strategies, execute new acquisitions, and oversee the management of the U.S. portfolio. Mr. Viswanathan joined Northwood in 2010 and has originated and executed investments in the U.S. across various sectors.

Prior to joining Northwood, Mr. Viswanathan worked at Blackstone Real Estate Advisors, where he played an integral role in their corporate and property-level investments in the United States. Mr. Viswanathan received dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Management Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also received a Master’s degree in Real Estate Economics and Finance from London School of Economics where he graduated with distinction.
